Canon apresenta EOS 500D
A nova câmara digital SLR de grande consumo da Canon tem um sensor de 15,1 megapixéis e é capaz de gravar vídeo em Full HD.

A EOS 500D pode ser definida como uma 5D Mark II despida de algumas características, de modo a poder apresentar um preço mais “amigo” dos fotógrafos amadores.

Entre as características técnicas, a grande novidade é a capacidade de gravar vídeo em Full HD, que pode ser transmitido para um ecrã externo através da porta HDMI. O sensor CMOS redesenhado tem 15,1 milhões de pixéis e uma sensibilidade à luz entre 100 e 3200 ISO (expansível até 12800).

O processamento das imagens está ao cargo de um novo chip designado DIGIC 4 que, segundo a Canon, é 30% mais rápido do que o seu antecessor, permitindo à 500D fotografar a um ritmo de 3,4 imagens por segundo (até 170 fotos consecutivas em modo JPEG).

A EOS 500D vai chegar ao mercado no início de Maio, com um preço indicativo de 869 euros. Vão ser ainda disponibilizados kits com objectivas incluídas: 500D + objectiva EF-S 18-55 (969 euros) e 500D + EF-S 18-200 mm (1389 euros).
